It is from his nativ land Finistère, that this self-taught painter, today installed in Germany, draws the major part of his inspiration.
His representation paintings in powerfull and warm colors illustrate his fascination for the strength of element.
Sailor during 25 years, having navigated on all the seas of the world. Loïc Sutre is also inspired by legends and Breton superstitions, of these rocks in the castle of Dinan with incredibles forms, these cliffs around which whisper for centuries fascinnating and mysterious legends…
The painter also like on the theme of woman, underlining her sensualism and strength, still adding elements, dream being finally never very far from reallity…
C’est de sa terre natale, le Finistère que cet artiste peintre autodidacte aujourd’hui installé en Allemagne, puise la majeure partie de son inspiration.
Ses toiles figuratives aux couleurs puissantes et chaleureuses illustrent sa fascination pour la force des éléments.
Marin pendant 25ans, ayant vogué sur toutes les mers du monde. Loïc Sutre s’inspire également des légendes et supertitions Bretonne, des ces rochers du château de Dinanaux formes incroyables, de ces falaises autour desquelles se chuchotent depuis des siècles de passionnantes et mystérieuses légendes…
Le peintre aime également travailler sur le thème de la femme, soulignant sa sensualité et sa force, ajoutant toujours des éléments féériques, le rêve n’étant jamais trés loin de la réalité.

Loïc Sutre is a painter who is part of an original repertoire in which we find his childhood memories of the tormented waves of Brittany. His entire work very prolific, but always appealing to the deepest of self, faithful also to a precise framework and all for a single purpose: to be able to put in his canvases those winds and those elements which reveal to the country his appearance as wild as beautifull.
Loïc SUTRE est un artiste peintre qui s’inscrit dans un répertoire original dans lequel on retrouve ses souvenirs d’enfance des flots tourmentés de la Bretagne. Son œuvre toute entière très prolifique, mais toujours faisant appel au plus profond de soi, fidèle aussi à un cadre précis et le tout dans un seul but : Pouvoir mettre dans ses toiles ces vents et ces éléments qui révèlent au pays cet aspect aussi sauvage que magnifique.
